In 2022, a mother and her husband found themselves facing a difficult situation. With no jobs, no income, and their marriage crumbling, they turned to unconventional ways to make ends meet, including participating in adult websites. While both were involved in creating content, it was the wife who was primarily featured in the images and videos. The husband, although not controlling the accounts, had access to all of them.
As time passed, the mother decided to end the marriage and move on with her life. This decision didn’t sit well with her estranged husband, who saw her newfound independence as a threat. He began to devise a plan to undermine her both personally and professionally.
Accessing their shared accounts, the husband took screenshots of her content from the adult websites. He then printed these images, wrote an anonymous letter, and sent them to her workplace, aiming to damage her reputation and get her fired. But that wasn’t the extent of his manipulation. Before mailing the letter, he typed a threatening message on his phone and handed it to her. The message was clear: “Give me custody of our child, or I’ll expose the porn pages.”
Despite the harassment, the mother refused to give in. The letter, containing printed screenshots, was dropped off at her workplace in an envelope, and it passed through several people before reaching her supervisor.
Following this, our investigator conducted an in-depth analysis of the paper and ink used in the letter. Through careful investigation, it was discovered that the paper used to print the images was a match for the paper the husband had used while working from home. This critical finding helped tie the anonymous letter directly back to him.
As the investigation deepened, additional evidence came to light. Photographs taken inside the husband’s home revealed a printer that matched the printouts in question. Further, the mother had two-factor authentication enabled on her online accounts, which alerted her to a suspicious login attempt from a Galaxy S12 phone—her husband’s device. In an ironic twist, on the same day, the husband posted a selfie on Facebook using the same phone, further linking him to the breach.
Armed with this evidence, the case went to court. The judge was presented with a compelling narrative, backed by solid forensic evidence, showing that the husband had orchestrated an attempt to sabotage the mother’s career and custody rights. The judge ruled in favor of our client, granting her full custody of their child and giving her the authority to make all major decisions regarding the child’s welfare.
