In a recent sextortion blog posted by Covert Results, a lot of people got interested and reviewed the blog. We had multiple calls with individuals admitting that sextortion had happened to them. We know this is a problem all across the world, with AI and technology getting a lot better. People have to be more cautious about what kind of information they’re putting out on the internet.
According to the National Center for Drug Abuse Statistics (NCDAS), almost 32 million people (11.7% of the population) were actively using drugs as of 2021, with marijuana, prescription stimulants, and methamphetamines as the most popular drugs of choice.

Just last week Federal law enforcement officials warned of an explosion of “sextortion” cases targeting teenagers and young boys, saying the online schemes have been linked to at least 12 suicides this year.
In a news release, the FBI and the Justice Department said a large portion of the sextortion crimes originate in Nigeria and the Ivory Coast and are driven by “financial gain,” not sex — a fact that a Justice Department official said makes this trend different from other child exploitation crimes that have historically been motivated by sexual attraction to minors.

On August 16, 2021 Dallas Barrett went to Whiskey Row for a night out with friends. Through the night a fight broke out between the security guards and Mr. Barrett. Six guards were used to restrain Barrett taking him to the floor, but ended up taking it too far. When police arrived on the scene Barrett laid unresponsive on the floor of the Nashville Bar. An autopsy would show Barrett passed due to oxygen deprivation. This incident prompted the state of Tennessee to take a step forward when it comes to the training of unarmed and armed officers where alcohol is being served on the premises.
